Otomotiv Teknolojisi programını başarı ile bitirenlere "Otomotiv Teknikeri" ünvanı verilir. Otomotiv teknikeri, motorlu taşıt araçlarının motor kısmının ve ekipmanlarının imalatı-prosesi ve bakım onarım-servis alanında görev alırlar. Otomotiv teknikeri, fabrikalarda makine ve otomotiv mühendislerinin gözetimi ve yönetimi altında planlanan işlerin yürütülmesini sağlar.

History
Our university was established on 22 May 2008. While affiliated to the Rectorate of Dicle University, Şırnak Vocational School was affiliated to the Rectorate of Şırnak University with the establishment of Şırnak University in 2008. The Automotive Technology Program of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies within the body of Şırnak Vocational School has been continuing its education and training since 2019.

Graduation Requirements
In order for the student to graduate from the program he/she is enrolled in, he/she must follow the education shown in the curriculum, be successful in all the courses, have at least 120 ECTS credits, have a graduation weighted average of at least 2.00 and have successfully completed a 30-working-day internship. The student's graduation date is the last day of the exam in that exam period. However, students who could not graduate due to reasons such as a single course or internship until this date graduate on the date they are successful in the single course exam or when these studies are completed and accepted.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Automotive Technologies Program; It is a two-year Higher Education Program in order to ensure that the qualified intermediate manpower that the automotive industry needs in both production and after-sales service levels is trained in accordance with the quality and service philosophy that will meet the expectations of the age. Automotive Technologies Program associate degree graduates can be employed in private sector enterprises together with public institutions and organizations with the title and responsibility of Automotive Technician. In addition to these, Automotive Technicians; can develop their employment resources by establishing their own businesses and performing their professional activities in their own businesses.

In public institutions and organizations; It can be employed in machinery supply stages and at all levels related to automotive.
In private sector enterprises; He takes charge in almost all levels of the main and sub-industry automotive factories in titles and responsibilities that can be considered as technicians. However, it is seen that automotive technicians are in large numbers in production and assembly lines and play an active role in production works, they provide communication and liaison between engineers, planners and managers and workers, they take part as team leaders in quality circles, and they take responsibility as instructors in on-the-job training of lower-level personnel in training activities. . Another part of the automotive sector, which is as important as production, is the after-sales service units, sales points and training centers. The responsibility of automotive technicians in these units has increased as a result of the transition of the production system from mass production to lean production and the implementation of customer-oriented quality and sales principles. In these units, they take on responsibilities and duties in many areas from group leadership, service management, sales group leadership, spare parts, service workshop management to personnel training. To be defined in more detail, Automotive Technicians mostly in private sector organizations; Operator or foreman in automotive main industry and sub-industry factories, operator or foreman in automotive authorized and special services, operator or foreman in the production or maintenance-repair works of motorcycle and marine engines, operator in automotive equipment/bench/device usage areas, operator in automotive component manufacturing industry or Foreman, technical staff in project and design works that require reading and drawing technical drawings, operator in the areas of use of measuring and control devices, operator or foreman in the areas of hydraulic-pneumatic systems, customer representative and salesperson in vehicle and spare parts sales companies in the automotive area, damage consultant in loss adjusting companies are employed as inspection technical staff or foreman at vehicle inspection stations, technical intermediate staff at P&D and R&D offices, and operator or foreman at gas fuel conversion businesses.
Automotive Technicians, who have established their own workplaces, mostly provide maintenance and repair services for various industrial products, auto paint and bodywork services, auto electrical and electronic repair services, gas fuel conversion services, vehicle mechanical maintenance services in the fields of technical drawing, engine or transmission system in vehicle modification project works. He carries out his professions in areas such as repair services, automotive expertise services.
