About Programme

The Associate Degree Program in Logistics is designed to train qualified professionals who are equipped with fundamental knowledge of logistics operations, strategic and analytical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic structure of the logistics and supply chain industry. The program focuses on delivering theoretical and practical education in transportation, warehousing, inventory management, foreign trade, customs procedures, and logistics technologies.



Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an Associate Degree in Logistics, recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and corresponding to 120 ECTS credits, aligned with Level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF). Although no legally designated occupational title is granted, graduates can work in various roles such as logistics staff, warehouse and distribution assistant, supply chain support officer, customs and foreign trade assistant, and operational coordinator in logistics and transportation companies.



Admission to the program is conducted through the central placement system managed by ÖSYM. Graduates may pursue undergraduate education through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) and transition into related programs such as Logistics Management, International Trade and Logistics, Business Administration, or Transportation and Logistics. To graduate, students must successfully complete all coursework and mandatory internship requirements, earn 120 ECTS credits, and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00.



The learning environment includes face-to-face and hybrid classroom instruction, computer laboratories equipped with logistics software (e.g., ERP, WMS), and internship practices in logistics companies, port authorities, customs brokerage firms, and supply chain departments of industrial enterprises. Project-based learning, case analysis, technical visits to logistics hubs, and digital education platforms further enhance the students’ practical experience and sectoral readiness.



The program fosters key competencies such as critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, digital literacy, ethical responsibility, and lifelong learning. Students are also encouraged to develop an awareness of global logistics trends, sustainability, and customer-oriented service delivery.



Structured within the framework of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), the Logistics Program is monitored and improved continuously based on the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle. Program quality is ensured through stakeholder feedback, curriculum updates, external evaluations, and institutional quality assurance systems.

History
The logistics program curriculum is tailored to the needs of the private sector. In the case of logistics, the main issues that are important in the private sector can be listed as economic knowledge, transport legislation, foreign trade, supply chain management and international marketing. Besides, foreign language is one of the features sought in meeting the personnel needs of the private sector.
Qualification Awarded
Academic Degree:
Associate Degree in Logistics: Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded an Associate Degree in Logistics. The program comprises 120 ECTS credits and is officially recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in Türkiye.

Awarded Title:
Vocational Qualification – Logistics Technician:
Although no formally designated professional title is conferred by the degree, graduates are commonly employed in the logistics and supply chain sector under occupational titles such as: Logistics Personnel, Warehouse and Distribution Supervisor, Supply Chain Assistant, Operations Support Specialist, Customs and Foreign Trade Assistant
Admission Requirements
Students are required to take the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM) and obtain enough points from the TYT.
Higher Grade Transition
Those who successfully complete the two-year associate degree education, if they want to pass the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), four-year bachelor's degree (Logistics Management, Civil Air Transportation Management, Transportation and Logistics, International Logistics, International Logistics and Transportation, International Trade) And Logistics Management) programs.
Graduation Requirements
In order to complete the program successfully, it is necessary to pass all the courses in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS), to obtain at least 2.0 weighted grade point average out of 4.00 and to complete the compulsory 30 working days 'Summer Internship' successfully.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
There are many career opportunities for the graduates of the logistics program. Graduates; PTT has the opportunity to work as intermediate staff, assistant manager or middle level manager in related departments of logistics and cargo companies, purchasing, production, logistics and foreign trade departments of industrial companies, port departments. In addition, they can serve as public personnel in the Ministry of Economy and Customs and Trade Departments. Graduates who wish to continue their education have the opportunity to complete their undergraduate education by attending undergraduate programs related to Vertical Transfer Exam.
Assessment and Grading
For each course, students are subjected to midterm, midterm (projects, seminars, quizzes, homework, or a second midterm) and final exam. The evaluation of any course for the semester / year may consist of at least one midterm exam, homework, practice and other studies. In the evaluation of each course; the contribution of students to the success grade of midterm, homework, application and other studies in which they are responsible is taken into consideration. Success grade; It is calculated from the mid-term / mid-term evaluation and the final exam grades. The contribution of the semester / final exam to the grade is determined by the units to be at least 40% and at most 60%. According to the decision of the related committee or the related committee, faculty members / lecturers determine the contribution of the studies that will constitute the semester / year assessment to the success grade. The contribution of the midterm / exams determined in the semester / year assessment to the success grade is at least 20%. Students who do not take the make-up exam at the end of the semester / year and / or get a grade of less than 50 out of 100 are considered as unsuccessful. Students who get one of (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) grades are considered successful. To be able to take the final exams and make-up exams, if any, from a course or application; the student must attend at least 70% of the theoretical courses and at least 80% of the practical courses. The attendance of the students is monitored by the instructor.
